A Note About Your Privacy: FitUP.org and the Marquette County Health Department are committed to protecting your privacy.
This page discloses the privacy practices for the FitUP.org website and it's associated programs.
Information We Collect and How It Is Used: Participation in these programs is completely voluntary. FitUP.org collects your first and last name, email address, place of work, and county of residence when first registering with FitUP. This information is used to establish an "account" for the various programs offered, and to contact you in the event you win a prize. Individual program information is also collected, such as number of steps logged each day for the StepUP! campaign. Your email address will never be shared with anyone except the FitUP team administering and coordinating this website. The FitUP team will use your email address to communicate with you, if necessary, in administering your account. Email will also be used if you elect to receive email from FitUP when first registering for FitUP. This setting can be changed at a later date by accessing the User Account Maintenance feature of FitUP.org. Your individual program information will be used in studying the effectiveness of the programs. Your name will not be used or associated with your individual program information unless you authorize this activity. Your authorization is given by checking the "My Personal Information Preference Settings" radio button when first registering for FitUP. This setting can be changed at a later date by accessing the User Account Maintenance feature of FitUP.org. Occasionally individual program information, such as greatest number of steps taken in a week, may be reported, but this information will not be associated with your name or other personal identifying information unless authorized by the "My Personal Information Preference Settings" setting. Your individual program information will be used in accumulating totals for team and/or worksite related reporting. How Your Information is Protected: This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information that resides here. Your personal and individual program information are maintained on secured files accessible only to the FitUP team. However, as with any Internet endeavor, absolute security of this information cannot be guaranteed. How To Update Your Information: We rely on you to provide updates to your email address, if it changes during the course of a program. You can update your email address, as well as other account settings, by accessing the User Account Maintenance feature of FitUP.org. If you have problems with your account that cannot be resolved by accessing User Account Maintenance, you may contact the FitUP team at fitup@hline.org Ending Your Participation: You may stop your participation whenever you like. Participation is always voluntary. All you need to do is stop recording your individual program information, such as daily steps or minutes of activity. If you no longer wish to receive email from FitUP, select the "No, I do not wish to receive updates!" radio button in User Account Maintenance. Notification of Changes to This Policy In the unlikely event any substantial changes are made to this privacy policy, registrants will be notified via email, if available and valid. No email notification will be sent if minor changes are made. The most recent version of this policy will always appear on the website. |
